We absolutely adore our new kitchen. We had lived with a cramped and outdated kitchen for too long, unsure of how to start the project or organize the space more efficiently. Ed patiently guided us through the entire process- from initial measurements to generating computer visuals and providing samples. Not only did he design a gorgeous kitchen that is perfect for our family, he was gracious enough to drive to New Jersey to build it! Ed readily worked with the other contractors during the renovation, effectively communicating to keep the project on schedule. Everyone who comes into our home is impressed by the design and attention to detail throughout. Ed is a true professional with phenomenal skill.

 This review is long overdue. Just needed my daughter to show me how to do this. Ed, built us the most gorgeous kitchen and bathroom. Every day I step in I can't help but admire the beautiful work Ed did in our home. Everyone who has come to our home since the completion of these two rooms stands there in awe of Ed's beautiful work as well and always a comment follows about the incredible craftsmanship. Ed is an artist! He worked with us on design, he gave us drawings and print outs, every detail was explained and discussed clearly. This was the most professional experience we have ever had.  We hired Ed to fabricate cabinets for an expansion project at our veterinary hospital. From the estimate process to completion, Ed was great to communicate with. He provided us with drawings, a detailed proposal, and had great ideas on how he could meet our needs. The quality of the work was excellent. The quality and craftsmanship of our kitchen cabinets is 2nd to none. We plan on staying in our home for some time, so we decided to go with the best. Deciding to go with Ed was a choice we'll never regret. The kitchen cabinets and built in bench seating in the dinning room came out perfect and exactly what we pictured and asked for. Our kitchen was a complete "down to the studs" renovation. We didn't hire a contractor, so one of the most important parts of our project was communication between the carpenter, granite countertop business and cabinet maker. I just want to tell you how much Eileen and I are pleased with the two new vanities that you built and installed in our bathrooms. Your workmanship is unbelievable. The quality is truly on a par with high end furniture. From the type of drawers, slides even the self-closing hinges to the external finish, we couldn't have been happier.

We've had many people working in our home over the years. In most cases, when they were done, we had a major job to clean up.  When you finished working each day, the area was as clean and neat as when you started.

I can assure that when we need any more cabinetry done, there is no question who we will call upon to do it.  Thanks again.

I can’t begin to tell you how pleased I am with the final product for the cabinets and reception counter you built for my new dental office. The results were better than I could have asked for. Your attention to detail is just what I needed and your workmanship and the quality of your cabinets and moldings was absolutely first class. All seams matched perfectly, all doors and shelves fit as best as could be done, and all sizing was on mark. As an added bonus, it was a pleasure to be able to so easily work with you and have such great communication through quick responses to calls, emails, and texts. I had planted 4 trees when I was young in my parent's backyard, and had them cut down 30 years later. I had the idea of making a 4-poster bed out of them and contacted Ed Konopka, the owner of Edko Cabinets.  He visited my parent's home, measured the trees and came back with sketched out concepts.  Not only was he able to figure out how to create the bed in the photo from natural tree trunks, but he added 4 slide out storage drawers underneath the bed, the rails around the top of the bed and the headboard.  All elements I had not thought of including.  Each trunk must weigh 150 pounds, and Ed brought them to his workshop in Connecticut from my parent's home, worked on them so that not only would they work with his design, but he transformed them from rough tree trunks to beautiful indoor furniture.  They also stand straight on their own without any support due to Ed's talent as a woodworker.  I know this because when I moved he was willing to disassemble and reassemble the bed in my new home.  I saw these four 7 foot logs standing with no assistance, like a forest in my new home.  I cannot recommend Ed Konopka high enough.  His creativity, calm demeanor, work ethic, quality of craftsmanship, concern for the project, and pride in his own work is of the highest caliber.

Dear Ed,

This is a bit delayed I know, but we wanted to tell you how much we love the new kitchen!

When we started thinking about redoing that section of the kitchen, all I wanted was a silverware drawer.  I can honestly say I am thrilled with my silverware drawer!  Our kids can now hold their heads up high and not be ashamed in front of their friends who would constantly boast about already having a silverware drawer.  And the rest of the kitchen is fabulous as well.  The drawers below the bench hold my Tupperware and our collection of play food.  The kids love it!  Those drawers are open (and messy) morning, noon and night.  It is such a treat to be working in the kitchen while the kids play in there.  The bench is perfect and very comfortable.  We have used it to talk, sooth boo boos, and read stories.

You were such a pleasure to work with.  The construction is impeccable and already the kids have put the durability to the test! This addition is built to last!  We also appreciate you coming back not once but twice to add the handles and adjust one drawer.  Your work is excellent and we have already recommended you to friends who are thinking of doing work and you are an integral part of our future house plans.  We think of you every time we get a spoon out of the drawer.
